Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

A component of Guide Right is the “Kappa League.” Kappa League, originally founded as the Kappa Instructional Leadership League, has been around for over thirty-years. It was created as a social action project in 1970, by Brother Mel Davis, then of the Los Angeles Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi. Kappa League continues to embody all of the elements of Guide Right as proposed with a specific focus on young high school males. It continues to provide focused opportunities to assist young men to grow and become productive citizens within society.

The goal of the Norristown Alumni Social Action Committee is to make a difference in the lives of the people that live in the Norristown area. When we partner with Mt. Zion AME Church to help make their winter coat drive a success, we gain the satisfaction of knowing that there will be children with new coats to keep them warm thru the winter.

The 83rd Northeastern Province Council Meeting held in Princeton, NJ, was where history was made. In the midst of the ninety-three (93) individuals who were initiated, Norristown Alumni was instrumental in bringing eleven (11) men into the fold spanning both the Collegiate and Alumni levels.

Norristown will host its 22nd Annual Fashion Show and Dinner Dance on April 13, 2013. This is our flagship event to raise money for our Scholarship Program.
